San Diego

Over fall break Ricky and I got a chance to visit San Diego. It was beautiful the weather was amazing and people were friendly. I loved being able to kayak in la Jolla and see the zoo and enjoy the beaches , but the shopping ! It was awesome! I enjoyed the 5 days we were there and crammed something into every minute! We are all ready planning a trip back.

Dollywood

Nothing says east tn like Dollywood! Ricky and I too all three girls over fall break! The weather was perfect and the kiddos were amazing! It was a fun day for all of us!

Apple festival 2011

Apple festival was great this year! Chloe loved it and loved getting to go to the "festibull"! Love her heart and her cut apple outfits!

Shriners Circus

This is the first year we took Chloe to the Shriners circus! For 12$ a adult ticket it is well worth it! The 3 ring circus was awesome and Chloe loved it! Here favorite acts were the tigers, elephants and dancing girls!

Bake me a cake!

Chloe loves cakes but she really loves sprinkles and frosting. Here are a few photos of her helping make a toddler friendly two year old Halloween cake.

Happy Halloween 2011

This year Chloe really loved Halloween! We took her to the Knoxville zoos boo at the zoo night. Which was so much fun! We saw some animals and got lots of candy! We also took her to the mall for store trick or treating which was insanely packed! We will not do that again. We finished up the holiday by trick of treating with my two nieces who were dressed as Velma and Daphine ! Chloe really got into Halloween this year and I can't wait till next year!

Pumpkin carving time

This year Chloe wanted a Cinderella and Snow White pumpkin! I looked online and found two, and here is a photo of the two that Ricky and I carved! So cute and Chloe loved them both!

Ok so I have been a slacker!

Well it is official I am a slacker! Well not really but I have had good reason! I have so much to blog about I am not really sure where to start, so I will outline some important events then back log and post in more detail about each of them!

My last post was on July 27 and I posted "Happy birthday to me!" on July 27 I celebrated my 30th birthday! That will be a long post, but before I get to that I have to post from June!

We spent 3 weeks on vacation this year, we visited Anna Maria island for a week and then spent 2 weeks on the road visiting good friends, Disney, Mamaw, concluded by the last NASA shuttle launch! Trust me that will be a long post!

We returned the the beach, swam a lot in the pool, did house to-do lists and got ready for the new school year that was approaching way to fast!

Without any notice a door was opened I before I knew it I was teaching high school in a different district, and trust me that is defiantly a whole post in it self, or at least my chance to set the record straight!

The school year has been on full swing for 5 weeks , the summer is ending and I know this because we are about to close down our pool! So much has happened this summer that I am still rather shocked at how peaceful and enjoyable it was!

I was going through my photos and found these...I don't think I ever posted them.  They are from a snow day back in January or February.  We too the girls out for lunch at Dairy Queen and then to Petsmart.  One of our favorite things to do on a snow day!

First Day of Summer!

I needed a day out of the house so I decided to take Chloe and my niece Kaylee out to Chik-fil-a for lunch and some yummy ice cream.  I told them it was the first day of summer and we needed to celebrate, they agreed!

Almost famous quotes!

I am planning ahead!  I have big hopes for Chloe Nell!  I hope to sometime read these quotes in her memoir, or political address or in a novel...well that's for hoping anyways, but she is such a talker! I am not really sure who she gets it from..wink:)  She loves to talk and explain things and then of course at random public moments yell out things....that are so funny I have to cover my face from not laughing! I have listed some here that I keep in a quote book!

Chloeism of the day....I fixed her pasta and had carrots on the side. When she saw them she said "I DON"T EAT THOSE!" I said ok I will give to Greta (our dog). So I walked back to the kitchen and mixed the carrots in with noodles and sauce. Gave her another bite....she never saw the carrot or anything and she said "I TASTE IT...GROSS!" followed by her spitting it out! Lovely huh?!!!!

Chloeism of the day....(I don't normally talk potty on here, but this is funny). As Chloe sits on the potty to do her "business" she sits, I wait....then she poops and yells out "Mommy its AMAZING!" I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard! I never new pooping was amazing, but I gu

Pretty In PINK!

Chloe MUST and I don't say this lightly...have her toenails and finger nailes painted pink at ALL times!  It has become a little annoying to paint a two year olds nails every 3 days, but she just loves sitting still and have a mini ped and mani.  Boy I wish someone would do that for me! 

For all the skeptics out there...who think two piece bathing suits on toddlers are scandalous and ears being pierced is proactive and painted finger nails on a toddler is prison worthy....get over it! 

We all have opinions, but she is my kid and I think it is cute!  and besides its not like I wax her eyebrows...that would be only on Toddlers and Tiaras :)

Dancing Cousin Diva!

 

Chloe and her cousin Kaylee have a new passion. You guessed it dancing.  They will dance to just about any music and shake their little booties!  They love dressing up in you named it "tards!"  that is leotards!  We have purchased probably 20 over the past few weeks just so these crazy girls can dance.
