Holiday FUN!

Here are some random photos from the Christmas Holiday.  It was nice to have 2 weeks off just hanging out!
Christmas Card Photo this year-2012  Loved it!
RIcky left Christmas day for a basket ball tournament in Florida...so Christmas night we celebrated with him via the iPad and FaceTime....He was able to watch all the kids open their gifts..and then pose for a family traditional Christmas night photo!

Chloe enjoying a little snack from our new kitchen island
The toy mayhem/aftermath....Ricky spent two days cleaning and organizing Chloe's playroom!

Chloe found tattoos and old halloween eyelashes.....this is what happened.
Mermaid hair for her first day of pre-k back after the break...it turned out pretty cool the next day!

Here Comes COCO BOO BOO!

Chloe loves being on stage...and that is an understatement...
I made the mistake of letting her watch TLC's Toddlers and Tiaras...and eventually she finally asked...
"Mommy, can I be a pageant girl?"

That is really how it all started. In October our little town hosted the Apple Festival and this of course can't go  with out saying there has to be an Apple Festival Queen. I decided this would be the perfect opportunity to try out a small home town pageant and see what it is like.

I didn't want to to a full glitz pageant..heck I didn't even know how to tell Chloe what to expect.  I ended up getting her a simple red dress of Amazon, some white shoes from Kmart, and curled her hair all pretty in ringlets.  No spray tan, flippers or wiglets here!

Chloe was beyond excited.  Since she competed in the 2/3 year old division it gave her a step up b/c she was an older 3 yearold.  She didn't want me to help her on stage..infact she walked and did all her movements and made all her points on her own.

Needless to say...she won- Apple Festival Queen 2012- and we were so proud!

In December, she competed again in a Christmas Pageant  and won....Most Beautiful, Best Dressed, Most photogenic and we were thrilled!  Chloe loves the stage and being on it!  Of course I will not be "one of those pageant moms!"  but as long as Chloe asks to do a Pageant we will.

Hello 2013!

It is hard to believe that I have been blogging since 2008- boy time sure does fly by!

2012 was a fantastic year, a year of learning, growing, having fun, and living life.  I welcome 2013 and all that it has to offer for not only myself, but for my wonderful family.  I am hoping to of course be a better blogger and not let 6 months pass between each and every blog, but life gets busy sometimes.....

Goals for 2013-
1. Play more, worry less
2. Do something wild and crazy
3. Go with the flow
4. Start a work out routine and stick to it!
5. Cook 1 new recipe/meal a week
6. Find a Church to call "Home"
7. Grow a small garden
8. Learn to make home made Chicken and Dumplings like my Momma
9. Be Brave
10. Love More!
