| Morning before Chloe was born! |
I remember how Chloe's baby breath smelled. How she would grin from ear to ear and then projectile spit up all over you! I remember sleepless nights, baby grunts, newborn diapers, pacis and weird smelling baby food. It is hard to believe that two years ago the most precious gift came into my life.
At 8lbs, 14oz she seemed so small and fragile. As I held her for the months to follow her birth I would often wonder what will this little bald headed baby grow into? What kind of personality will she have? will she be a talker? will she be shy or outgoing? At only 730 days old, I have seem a small glimpse of what is yet to come.
She does in fact have more hair than what she was born with. Not a lot, but enough for piggy tails and hair bows! Her eyes stayed blue, her dimples are still there and boy can she still scream! The spit up has stopped, the baby breath is almost gone, sleepless nights have disappeared, along with baby grunts and baby food. My baby has disappeared and is now a full blown toddler! Still so odd to say, but oh so true!

Our current stages include, miniature silverware, mini drinking cups, pull-ups, play house tents, lollipops, wagon rides, and big girl showers. (Which I need to mention that I thoroughly enjoy putting her in the shower and spraying her off vs. a 30 minute ordeal in the bath).
However, somethings have not changed :) Chloe still enjoys sleeping in her crib. We haven't moved her to her big girl bed. Some thoughts on this included why move her when she likes her crib, why turn the crib into a toddler bed if we will just have to re-set for a crib again. She still has melt downs if she is tired, she still does take a really good nap, she is still a great sleeper, and she still cracks us up!
Her development is off the charts. She has been speaking in complete sentences since about 16 month, only now she sings complete songs, counts to 10, sings all her ABC's, can tell me all about her day and what she has done while with Nannie or Nana. She also is very particular about things, perhaps a bit OCD. She must have all her toys in a specific order, along with her shoes, and hair bows. She is her mothers daughter!
At her two year well visit she measured as a three year old in some areas of development. She can tell you all her thoughts, recognize tons of shapes, colors, and animals. I am so amazed, her brain is like a sponge ;)
She is still in the 90% in some areas such as height. At 36 inches tall she is going to be a big girl. She was around 30 pounds in weight. She is slimming down and her coordination is even more refined!
We haven't really started potty boot camp. Although Chloe loves to use the potty, she still really won't tell you when she has to go. We will start this soon!
In 730 days my sweet little gift from God has grown and given us just a little glimpse as to what is to come in the future. I love her more today than the day she was born.
Happy Birthday Chloe Nell!
Love,
Mommy
